Do I have to have Rush installation?
Yes, due to the various types of installation requirements such as vent space and power supply, Rush team members ensure the unit is installed safely and meets manufacturers' recommendations for operation.
How are payments processed?
Customers secure a unit with a credit card during installation in the home. A pick-up date is scheduled and a final bill is provided when the unit is retrieved.
How will the units affect my electricity bill?
Rush uses energy-star-rated equipment to lessen any financial burden faced by running the unit.
The units draw from a standard 115 Volt/60 Hertz household outlet.
Do I need good credit?
Rush does not run a credit check in order to rent cooling units.

What are portable air conditioners?
Portable air conditioners are non-permanent and easily mobile air conditioning units. The unit is connected to a window to exhaust heat and dehumidify a space.

Portable air conditioners can serve as a practical application when central air and window air conditioners are in disrepair or too expensive.

Portable air conditioners can serve to cool in emergency situations, dorm or rental rooms, compact workspaces, garages, and server spaces.
Will a portable air conditioner work for me?
Yes, as long as the space is appropriate, there is a window and a power source.
Hot air from the room is brought into the unit and filtered to run over the compressor and condenser coil. Cooled air is blown from the unit's vent into the space the heated air is exhausted out the window.
What if I don't have a space to vent or my windows don't open?
The units must vent the hot air. This can be done in a window, sliding glass door, or other space leading to the outside.
Rush will do its best to install the unit to fit your home's needs. If manufacturer standards cannot be met, the unit won't be left in the home.

If a unit is installed without a vent the unit will produce cold air from the front and exhaust hot air back into the space with no net cooling effect.
Portable air conditioners compared to portable evaporative coolers.
Portable air conditioners, like the one's we used by Rush, utilize a heat pump. This is similar to your home's central air conditioner, just smaller.
Evaporative coolers use water to lower the temperature of a space. This is similar to the effects of body sweat. Your body feels cooler but the temperature of the room has not really changed.
Can I use a portable cooler to cool server rooms or other workspaces that are always hot?
